JUDGING LIST QUALIFICATIONS 2009
A1 LIST: This list shall contain the names of those persons who have previously been approved by The Kennel Club to award CCs in the breed and have completed their first appointment and have the support of the Scottish Great Dane Club Committee.
A2 LIST: This list shall contain the names of those persons who fulfil all the requirements for the A3 list and who have been assessed in accordance with Kennel Club requirements and accepted by The Kennel Club for inclusion on an A2 list and have the support of The Scottish Great Dane Club Committee.
A3 LIST (Breed Specialists): This list shall contain the names of those persons who:-
1) Have a minimum of 7 years judging experience in the breed and have the support of the Scottish Great Dane Club Committee.
2) Have judged at 1 breed club (or 2 single sex) show/s and or 50 breed club supported entry shows.
3) Have judged the breed at 15 Open Shows or Championship Shows without CCs with an adequate geographical spread.
4) Have judged a minimum of 70 classes.
5) Have judged a minimum of 200 dogs
6) Have attended a seminar given by a kennel Club Accredited Trainer, and passed the relevant examination on Kennel Club Regulations and Judging Procedures.
7) Have attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer on Conformation and Movement.
8) Have attended at least one breed specific seminar run in accordance with the relevant Kennel Club Code of Best Practice and passed an examination and/or assessment where applicable.
9) Have bred and/or owned a minimum of 3 dogs when they obtained their first entry in the Kennel club Stud Book (Save in exceptional circumstances).
10) Have stewarded at 12 shows.
A3 LIST (Non Specialists): This list shall contain the names of those persons who:-
1) Have a minimum of 7 years judging experience in any one breed (to include 5 years in this breed) and have the support of the Scottish Great Dane Club Committee.
2) Have judged at 1 breed club (2 single sex) show/s and or 30 breed club supported entry shows.
3) Have judged the breed at 15 Open Shows or Championship Shows without CCs with an adequate geographical spread.
4) Have judged a minimum of 70 classes in this breeds.
5) Have judged a minimum of 200 dogs in this breed.
6) Have awarded CCs in at least one other breed.
7) Have attended at least one breed specific judging seminar run in accordance with the relevant Kennel Club Code of Practice and Passed an examination and/or assessment where applicable.
8) Have bred and/or owned a minimum of 3 dogs of any breed when they obtained their first entry in the Kennel Club Stud Book (Save in exceptional circumstances).
B LIST (Breed Specialist): This list shall contain the names of those persons who:-
1) Have 7 years experience owning and exhibiting in Great Danes and have the support of the Scottish Great DaneClub Committee.
2) Have judged 20 classes of this breed at Open Shows or Championship Shows without CCs (Save in exceptional circumstances).
3) Have judged 50 dogs of this breed.
4) Have attended at least one breed specific judging seminar and passed an assessment where applicable.
B LIST (Non Specialists) This list shall contain the names of those persons who:-
1) Have a minimum of 7 years judging experience in any one breed and have the support of the Scottish Great Dane Club Committee.
2) Have judged 20 classes of this breed at Open Shows or Championship Shows without CCs (Save in exceptional circumstances).
3) Have judged 50 dogs of this breed.
C LIST : This list shall contain the names of those aspirant judges who have shown an interest in the breed and have the support of the Scottish Great Dane Club Committee. Listings would normally include persons who have judged the breed at Limited and Open Shows but do not yet qualify for the B Lists.
